Wisła Can-Pack Kraków defeated Frisco Brno 80:64. The best scorer in Wisła Can-Pack team - Nicole Powell 19 points. Milka Bjelica scored 11 points and had 10 rebound and got double-double.
Wisla Can-Pack Kraków assured themselves of top spot in Group C of the EuroLeague Women for at another week with an 80-64 triumph over Frisco Brno. Nicole Powell put forth another superb offensive display for the winners with 19 points and Polish center Ewelina Kobryn had 16.
Montenegro international Milka Bjelica also had a solid game for Jose Ignacio Hernandez's side with 11 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.Wisła Can-Pack improved to 9-2 with the triumph and dropped struggling Frisco Brno to 1-10. The hosts took the lead for good early in the second quarter.The game was knotted at 19-19 when Anke De Mondt split a pair of free-throws.
Milka Bjelica and Anke De Mondt then hit back-to-back jumpers before an Ana Dabovic basket stretched the advantage to seven. Wisła Can-Pack outscored Frisco Brno 23-13 in the frame to take a 39-30 advantage to the break. Frisco Brno, who are giving a lot of minutes to young players, continued to battle but fell to another defeat.The hosts out-rebounded Frisco Brno, 41-28. Wisła Can-Pack were seven of 13 from long range and Frisco Brno seven of 19. Farhiya Abdi, who is a nominee for Young Player of the Year 2011, led the Czechs with 17 points.
