There are three months of the 2011/2012 season behind us. Wisła Can-Pack Kraków played 24 games both in the Polish League (Ford Germaz Ekstraklasa) and in the EuroLeague Women. In the both standings the "White Star" team is a leader. For sure games versus Spartak Moscow Region Vidnoje were right down in the gold page of Wisła Kraków history.These games blurred out an unexpected defeat in Brno.

In the Polish League Wisła Can-Pack for a long time was undefeated team. But the "White Star" lost just one game. In the 13th Ford Germaz Ekstraklasa in Polkowice versus a local team CCC. But a few days later Wisła Can-Pack compensated this defeat by winning in the other top Polish League game versus Lotos in Gdynia.

For a short interview we asked Wisła Can-Pack General Manager Mr. Piotr Dunin-Suligostowski.


RS.: What do you think about the last three months of the current season and previous Wisła Can-Pack games both in the EuroLeague Women and in the Polish League? How do you evaluate both results?

Piotr Dunin-Suligostowski: Very positive. Before the start of the season everyone for sure would take these results, I mean the first position in the Group C of the EuroLeague Women and the first position in the Polish League at the Christmas Break moment. Although we started without many players, WNBA players came later and Ewelina Kobryn was ill for over one month - this beginning was very good - a game in Moscow particularly stuck in my memory and I think, this good start has created the Team and has created the right atmosphere which affects in the next games. Failures, well in sport there are also defeats and like this unexpected our defeat in Brno. But this is the attractiveness of the sport, surprises in Moscow and in Brno. I must say that after first game versus Spartak there were many voices that our victory in Vidnoje was accidental, but the return game in Kraków confirmed that it was not an accident but it showed how strong our Team is.

RS: Do you plan - like in the previous seasons - to sign a new player for new year or changes in the roster?

Piotr Dunin-Suligostowski: For today we do not plan any change. The old, good rule says that there is no need to change of the mechanism if it functions well.

RS: First in 2012 year game Wisła Can-Pack will play on 7th January in Kraków versus INEA AZS Poznań. When players returns are planned?

Piotr Dunin-Suligostowski: The returns are planned between 2nd and 4th Januray. In the first turn Polish and Europealen players will return.

RS: When will be the first practise in 2012?

Piotr Dunin-Suligostowski: First practise we plan for 3rd Januray but of course without few players. Moreover, understandably for Erin Phillips we will have to wait longer.
