Wisła Can Pack

On the nearest Tuesday 21st February 2012 at 7.45 p.m. Wisła Can-Pack Kraków will play at its own Gym vs  ZVVZ USK Prague in the first game of ELW Play-Off.

ZVVZ USK Prague - the current Czech Republic Champion, the leader of Czechs’ Women Basketball League (ŻBL - Ženská Basketbalová Liga) and Czech Republic Cup winner (in the Final ZVVZ USK Prague defeated  Frisco Brno 92:62).

In the ELW group stage ZVVZ USK Prague played in group A versus the following teams: Ros Casares Valencia, Galatasaray Medical Park Isnatbul, UMMC Ekaterinburg, Bourges Basket, Uni Seat Gyor, Lotos Gdynia and Vici Aistes Kaunas). In the  14 games Czech Republic Champions won 8 games and were defeated in 6 matches. With 22 points took 4th place in the Group A standings and 11th positions in general classification of all ELW participants.

In the Lubor Blażek team the most effective players in ELW group stage were American DeLisha Milton-Jones with the average 15 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game. Portuguese Ticha Penicheiro with the average  5.5 assists and 2.2 steals per game.

But in the ZVVZ USK Prague some changes happened. Ticha Penicheiro is now Galatasaray Medical Park Isnatbul player. She was replaced by American Lindsay Whalen. The others change, after the Ilona Burgrova injury ZVVS USK Prague signed Ukrainian Viktoria Mircheva.

ZVVZ USK Prague had many stars in the roster. Mentioned before American DeLisha Milton-Jones, Spanish Anna Montanana, twin sisters from Sweden Frida and Elin Eldebrink or Czech National Team member Eva Viteckova.

Wisła Can-Pack in the ELW Group C took 2nd position (10 wins and 4 losts) and in the general classification took 6th positions to fight versus  ZVVZ USK Prague will start very concentrated. Final-Eight is one of the Wisła Can-Pack’s .

The first Play-Off game Wisła Can-Pack Kraków  vs ZVVZ USK Prague by FIBA Europe was called „Game of the Day” and fans can be watch on FIBA EUROPE TV. “LIVE” transmission also on TVP Sport.

The Play-off schedule: 24.02.2012 (Friday) – at 6.00 p.m – Prague and if necessary 01.03.2012 (Thursday) – at 6.00 p.m – Kraków.
